Good Product January 14, 2010 T. Houchin (Melbourne, FL United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
After reading about some of the issues others had with low priced chargers, I decided to spend a little more for a brand name, hoping to get a good product...and I did. Both the home charger and the car charger work perfectly with my iPod Touch 3G. Both chargers appear to have good quality construction and have indicator lights that change from red to green to indicate when the iPod is charged. Unlike some of the other cables, the cable that came with this product will charge the iPod and can be used to sync the iPod with iTunes. I just finished a sync and it works as well as the cable that came with the iPod. Note: the cable connector end that connects directly to the iPod has a button that is used to release it from the iPod before you remove the cable. Since the original iPod cable did not have this, I thought the new cable was stuck in the iPod when I tried to remove it the first time. A simple push of the button enables an immediate release from the iPod.
Good Charger January 20, 2009 MM (Ohio) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Since the Ipod didn't come with a wall charger, this is a great item. It works with the touch and definitely makes it easier than leaving the computer on all the time.
Griffin PowerDuo review March 11, 2009 T. Glassen 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Have only used the Griffin PowerDuo a couple of times so far, but they work as advertised and appear well made. The ability to charge an iPod direct from an outlet, rather than having to run a computer to do so, is great. And, with an auxiliary audio-in jack in the car, the ability to keep the iPod charged conveniently allows unlimited listening while driving.
Nicely made charging duo February 1, 2010 David (Chapel Hill, NC USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This home and auto charging pair work well with the 3rd generation iPod Touch (and the manufacturer's site confirmed its compatibility). The home charger is compact and has folding prongs. The sync/charge cord looks well made, and is a good length for the car, but some might want more than the 3 feet it provides at home. The auto charger is reasonably small. Both have lighted indicators to show when they are charging, and they change colors to show when the charging is complete. Also, both offer some protection for voltage spikes.
Charges 2nd & 3rd Gen iPod touch January 28, 2009 shankus (California's Mojave Desert) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Not all wall chargers will charge the 2nd Gen touch. My old no-name wall charger worked with my 1st Gen touch, but wouldn't with my 2nd Gen touch.
UPDATE: I had a power outage. My Griffin is plugged into a UPS in my bedroom. It wouldn't work on UPS power. I found that interesting, as well as disappointing.
